On Thursday, April 29th, Houston Trust Company will welcome Britt Harris, President, CEO, and CIO of UTIMCO, as he reviews the most pivotal events of the past 40 years, their impact on the investment environment, and looks forward to the future.
From Paul Volcker’s efforts to whip inflation in the early ’80s to the 2008 financial crisis, the remarkable trends and events of the last several decades culminated in the most extraordinary year of all: 2020. A year in which a highly charged election and a global pandemic would test the U.S. economy and markets.
But are we about to enter a new era? Britt will share his perspective on what this may look like for the investment environment. What can we expect? What will it portend for investors? And what tools will we need to navigate the future?
