Walter M. Mischer, Jr.
Walt Mischer is a partner of Mischer Investments, a developer of master planned communities, and president of Mischer Healthcare Services, a developer of medical office projects. Mr. Mischer is a partner and co-founder of Belmont Village Senior Living Communities, a national seniors housing company. He is also co-founder and former chairman of the board of RediClinic, which was purchased by Rite Aid Drug Stores in April 2014.
Mr. Mischer serves on boards of the Greater Houston Partnership, Texas Transportation Alliance, UT Health Houston, the Houston Zoo and the Memorial Hermann Foundation. He is past chairman of the board and CEO of Memorial Hermann Hospital Texas Medical Center and past chairman of the board of Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank. He has previously served as director for The Southland Corporation, vice chairman and director for the Texas Turnpike Authority and director for Encore Bancshares.
Mr. Mischer received his BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
