Monica Lathon joined Houston Trust Company in 2017. As a Vice President in Operations, her primary duties include overall day to day processing of cash and asset transactions. She has been in the financial and trust industry over 25 years.  Her previous roles include Client Service Associate (CSA) in Administration at Mercer Advisors and former Operations Associate at Kanaly Trust Company as well as Client Service Officer at Chase Bank.

Monica attended University of Houston and Texas Southern University with studies in Chemistry. She held a FINRA Representative Series 7 license as well as North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) Series 63 and 66 licenses. She holds certificates in the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) for Pensions (PA-1) and Daily Valuations.

Monica is a member of the Urban Financial Coalition and Buffalo Soldiers National Museum (BSNM). She served for several years as the annual Gala Volunteer Coordinator for the BSNM.  She is currently a volunteer for BSNM and the American Cancer Society.
