Eric Brenk joined Houston Trust Company in 2026. As Senior Vice President of Information Security and Risk Officer, he brings his extensive technology leadership experience together with a greater focus on enterprise risk, information security governance, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and organizational resilience. He is responsible for helping identify and manage technology and information security risks, strengthening security controls and policies, supporting regulatory and audit requirements, and working with leadership across the organization to maintain a strong risk-aware culture. Prior to joining Houston Trust Company, he worked in the community banking industry as an accomplished information technology and cybersecurity executive with more than 18 years of leadership experience. During that time, he provided strategic leadership across technology, cybersecurity, infrastructure, risk management, compliance, and business continuity.

Eric holds an Associate Degree in Network Administration, providing a strong technical foundation that has supported his progression from hands-on technology roles into executive leadership.

Eric is a computer science and information technology advisory board member for Wharton County Junior College.
