Cynthia Cortez-Smith joined Houston Trust Company in 2010. As Senior Vice President, Trust Operations Manager, Cyndi is responsible for the day-to-day management and training of the Operations team, as well as processes and procedures for trust accounting system functions, including investment operations. She has more than 30 years of trust operations and management experience.  Her previous assignments were with major Houston banks, including JPMorgan Chase, Corporate Trust and Bank of New York.

Cyndi graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and attended Houston Community College and the University of Houston.  She has completed extensive professional training in both the banking and financial industries and is lettered in the areas of trust administration, operations and trust accounting.

Cyndi is an active member of several church ministries including the parishes of St. Luke the Evangelist and St. Vincent de Paul.  She also participates in various local charitable runs and events across the city.
