Claire Brems joined Houston Trust Company in 2018. As Senior Vice President of Communications & Human Resources, she is responsible for leading human resources, strategic communications and marketing initiatives, as well as supporting board reporting, strategic planning, and risk management. She serves on the Company’s marketing, business development, and IT steering committees.

Prior to joining Houston Trust, Claire held roles in nonprofit administration, with a focus on large-scale volunteer program recruitment and management. Most recently, she served in the Department of Learning & Interpretation at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, where she oversaw the docent and school tour programs. Claire holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the College of Charleston, where she graduated cum laude. She is an active member of HR Houston and carries the SHRM-CP designation.
